For someone who works at a law school, Gillian Hadfield is pretty critical of the legal profession.
The University of Southern California law and economics professor says law schools stamp out creativity, that legal services are too expensive, and that lawyers—well-intentioned though they may be—aren’t delivering what a lot of people really need. She’s written a whole book on the subject, called “Rules for a Flat World: Why Humans Invented Law and How to Reinvent It for a Complex Global Economy.”
