White & Case has added an international arbitration partner to its newly launched Sydney office.
Max Bonnell joins from King & Wood Mallesons, where he was a longtime partner advising on international arbitration and commercial litigation before Australian courts. In a 2011 arbitration case, he led a team at then-Mallesons Stephen Jaques, representing manufacturer White Industries Australia Ltd. on a successful claim against the Republic of India of violating the bilateral investment treaty between the two countries.
