Jason Mark Sims, a 35-year-old lawyer who has worked at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison in Washington, D.C., has pleaded guilty to distributing videos of child sex abuse. Federal prosecutors disclosed the charges against Sims late Friday.

    I know that this isn‘t the point of the article, but the passive voice is wildly inappropriate here: "Sims is not the first lawyer from Big Law to have his career derailed and life upended as a result of actions that resulted in sex crime charges." Try, "Sims is not the first lawyer Big Law to derail his career and upend his life as a result of actions for which he was charged with sex crimes." It didn‘t "happen to him." He did it to himself by his actions.
