Facing firepower from a top securities class action firm, Sullivan & Cromwell partners Robert Giuffra Jr. and Matthew Schwartz on Thursday racked up a win on behalf of department store Kohl’s Corp. and two of its executives in Wisconsin federal court.
The pair, along with co-counsel from Godfrey & Kahn S.C, persuaded U.S. District Judge J.P. Stadtmueller of the Eastern District of Wisconsin to dismiss with prejudice a putative securities fraud class action by Kohl’s shareholders.
