Paul Evans, a former partner at leading Australian firm Freehills who spent nearly the past six years as a state solicitor for Western Australia, is joining Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan to open an office for the firm in Perth.
Quinn Emanuel’s new outpost in Australia’s fourth-largest city by population is expected to open in April. Evans spent 24 years at Freehills, leaving the firm just prior to its 2012 combination with London-based Herbert Smith, a union that created Herbert Smith Freehills.
