We all know hardly any cases go to trial, but a new report analyzing securities class actions has a startling (and sort of pathetic) statistic.
According to NERA Economic Consulting, of the 5,000 securities class actions that have been filed since the passage of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995, only 21 have gone to trial, and just 16 have reached a verdict or a judgment.
