On Day 2 of his whistleblower trial, the ousted general counsel of Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc. took aim at the company where he worked for more than two decades, describing a “paper effort” to promote compliance with federal anti-bribery laws.

Bio-Rad executives were disinterested in conducting robust training in the Federal Corrupt Practices Act, according to Sanford “Sandy” Wadler, and shut down his efforts to report suspected violations, ultimately firing him after 24 years with the Bay Area life sciences company.
