On Tuesday, a subsidiary of food giant ConAgra is expected to enter a guilty plea in federal court in Georgia to one misdemeanor count of shipping adulterated food. In late 2006, at least 625 people in 47 states were sickened by salmonella from eating Con Agra’s Peter Pan and Great Value brand peanut butter.
