The number of people working in the U.S. legal sector dipped slightly in July, as employment in the industry continues to lag behind pre-recession figures, according to seasonally adjusted data released Friday by the U.S. Department of Labor.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that an estimated 1,123,900 people were employed in the legal industry in July, down 200 jobs from the previous month. BLS originally reported that 1,124,000 people were employed in the industry in June, but on Friday the agency revised that figure down by 100.
