The shrimp were piled high on ice, the deviled eggs circled the room on platters, the white wine flowed and Newt Gingrich held court at a Dentons reception Tuesday evening during the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. The event, held at the city’s historic Union Club, gave Dentons’ lawyers and lobbyists a chance to mingle with lawmakers and business clients.
