Some of these firms, such as Hughes Hubbard & Reed, made the 2015 A-List but dropped out after suffering declines in one or more key metrics. Others, such as Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson, are on the upswing, ascending the rankings as their scores steadily improve.
21. Hughes Hubbard & Reed. This firm slipped out of the A-List this year, falling from 13th to 21st place. The decline was due largely to a 28-point drop in its associate satisfaction score, as well as an 11-point drop in its revenue per lawyer score. While it scored a perfect 200 in the pro bono category, its diversity and associate scores were relatively low at 131 and 109, respectively.
