K&L Gates, which has dealt with fair share of partnership turnover over the past year, debuted a new path to equity partnership program this month in an effort to help young lawyers advance within the firm.

The move came as K&L Gates saw several more partners depart, including one litigator whose hire the firm touted earlier this year. In Miami, K&L Gates continued its recent expansion binge by bringing on longtime local Baker & McKenzie complex commercial litigation partner LEE STAPLETON, according to sibling publication the Daily Business Review, which noted K&L Gates’ addition of Foley & Lardner real estate development, finance and investment of counsel DOUGLAS STANFORD and corporate and real estate counsel RUBEN FOGEL from Brightstar Corp., where he was a director and corporate counsel at the Medley, Florida-based mobile phone distributor.
