A new Master of Laws program emphasizing enterprise and technology is taking shape in New York City, and some former Am Law 100 lawyers are already enrolled.

The first 17 students will begin the joint program by Cornell Law School and Cornell Tech in August, selected from more than 200 applicants, administrators said. Eventually, each class is expected to grow to about 60 students. All but one of the new students has some law firm experience, including at major national firms, and several had in-house experience, according to program director and Cornell Law School professor Charles Whitehead.
