Two places define Alan Dershowitz: Cambridge, Massachusetts and Brooklyn, New York. Of course, you already know about the first place: It's the home of Harvard—and in this instance, we're talking about the law school, where Dershowitz got tenure at an ungodly young age (28). As for Dershowitz's Brooklyn—Borough Park—you probably don't have much of an impression.
But Brooklyn, Dershowitz said, is where it all started—and the place that most captures who he is.
So this spring, before other Dershowitz-related matters hit the news, I asked the good professor to give me a personal tour of his old neighborhood. To my utter delight, he agreed.
