More than a half-dozen big firms have hired practice leaders from rivals around the world within the past few weeks.

MARC ROSSELL, head of the capital markets group at Chadbourne & Parke, just joined Greeberg Traurig’s New York office as a partner in its corporate and securities, Latin American and Iberian practices. Rossell spent the past eight years at Chadbourne, coming to the firm in early 2008 after fleeing Thacher Proffitt & Wood, which broke apart later that same year. Rossell spent three years at Thacher Proffitt, having joined the now-defunct firm in 2005 after 21 years at Shearman & Sterling.
