I know there are more pressing issues out there, but I’m terribly concerned about what they’re doing to Barbie.
Since her introduction in 1959, Barbie has gone through a lot. She’s been a prom queen, doctor, stewardess, astronaut, lawyer, zookeeper and everything in between. A feminist in her own way, Barbie reminded us that a girl can pursue any career she wants, provided she’s wearing cute clothes and matching heels. Considering all the jobs she’s had over the years (and the wardrobe changes), it’s a wonder she didn’t expire from utter exhaustion.
