K&L Gates closed out a busy year of lateral turnover with several more departures, although the firm countered those losses with a pair of new hires on two different continents.
The firm picked up Pepper Hamilton corporate and securities of counsel TODD BETKE in Washington, D.C., as a partner for its investment management practice inside the Beltway. In Australia, where K&L Gates expanded via a merger three years ago, the firm hired special counsel VICKI ARON for its real estate group in Sydney from leading local shop Gilbert + Tobin.
