It’s no secret that a career in the high-pressure Am Law 100 world isn’t always conducive to a balanced family life. But at least one partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom has managed to put his legal expertise to work for a business with close family ties—a female fertility startup founded by his wife and her sister-in-law.
Bruce Goldner—who heads Skadden’s New York office and co-leads the firm’s intellectual property and technology group—has filed multiple trademark registrations for PregPrep LLC, a business started by his wife Marjorie Jaffe Goldner and cardiologist Dr. Lara Oboler. PregPrep sells a dietary supplement aimed at making it easier for women to get pregnant.
