CYRUS AMIR-MOKRI, a former senior official at the U.S. Department of the Treasury who nearly a year ago rejoined Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom as a partner in its complex litigation and advisory practice, is on the move again.
JPMorgan Chase has hired Amir-Mokri, a financial services regulatory expert, as general counsel of its corporate and investment bank division in New York. Amir-Mokri spent nearly three years as assistant secretary for financial institutions at the Treasury Department, a position he took in late 2011 after serving almost two years as senior counsel to the former chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. (At Skadden, which Amir-Mokri left for the first time in 2009, he reunited last year with former CFTC enforcement director David Meister, who rejoined the firm in early 2014.)
