K&L Gates, whose London office head wrote an op-ed last month about how Big Law has become obsessed with the wrong metrics, has continued its recent hiring spree after several months of partner losses.

The firm hired energy and infrastructure projects and transactions partner JEFF COHEN in Washington, D.C., from Troutman Sanders, which he joined back in 2007 from Nixon Peabody, having led that firm’s Australia and Southeast Asia practice. K&L Gates also recruited health care litigation and regulation partner LIMO CHERIAN from Hogan Marren Babbo & Rose in Chicago, where she was a partner at the local health care and higher education-focused firm.
