Hausfeld, the high-powered plaintiffs firm formed seven years ago when founding partner Michael Hausfeld split from what was then called Cohen, Milstein, Hausfeld & Toll, is headed to New York.

The Washington, D.C.-based firm, which last fall opened an office in Brussels and also has outposts in London, Philadelphia and San Francisco, announced Monday its hire of Greenberg Traurig antitrust litigators SCOTT MARTIN and IRVING SCHER as partner and senior counsel, respectively. Both lawyers joined Greenberg Traurig in 2009 from Weil, Gotshal & Manges, where they were partners. The duo—Scher is an adjunct professor at the New York University School of Law—specializes in unfair and deceptive trade practice litigation and counseling in a range of industries.
