Already riding high atop the federal lobbying tables, despite scaling back in Texas, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld bolstered its litigation and regulatory expertise inside the Beltway with two notable additions this week.

The firm will announce Wednesday its hire of former Zuckerman Spaeder litigation partner LESLIE KIERNAN, who left the latter back in 2011 to join the Obama administration as deputy assistant to the president and deputy White House counsel before being tapped last fall to serve as a senior adviser to the U.S. Mission to the United Nations.
