A week after Herbert Smith Freehills announced an increase in gross revenue and partner profits, the London-based legal giant saw some of its Magic Circle and global rivals unveil their own financial performance for fiscal 2014-2015.

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer saw gross revenue rise 1 percent, to 1.25 billion pounds ($1.93 billion), while profits per equity partner slipped 8 percent, to 1.37 million pounds ($2.12 million). Net income at Freshfields, formed through a three-way merger in 2000, decreased slightly to 578 million pounds ($893.7 million).
