Arnold Gulkowitz, who joined Dickstein Shapiro in 2007 and went on to head its bankruptcy and creditors’ rights group, has left the struggling firm’s New York office to start his own restructuring boutique, called Gulkowitz Berger.

Dickstein has been buffeted by a series of partner departures over the past two years, as recently noted by sibling publication The National Law Journal in its annual ranking of the nation’s 350 largest firms by attorney head count.
