A merger between a pair of international outsourcing and consulting companies tops the list of billion-dollar deals this week, with Paris-headquartered Capgemini agreeing to acquire iGate, based in Bridgewater, New Jersey, for $4 billion.

The combined entity will produce revenue of roughly $14 billion and allow Capgemini to grow in North America. The deal, announced Monday, is expected to close in the second half of the year.
