King & Spalding and Winston & Strawn, two Am Law 100 firms that have been busy on the lateral hiring front of late, continue their expansion efforts this week.

The Asian Lawyer, a sibling publication, reports that King & Spalding has hired Herbert Smith Freehills’ Southeast Asia energy practice leader, RICHARD NELSON, in Singapore, the latest in a series of defections from the Anglo-Australian legal giant. King & Spalding also landed Latham & Watkins counsel LINDA LORENAT as a partner in its emerging companies practice in Palo Alto, California.
