StoryCorps, a nonprofit oral history project that allows users to record and archive personal interviews, has launched an app with some pro bono help from Latham & Watkins IP attorneys.

The app, which launched on March 17 and is available on iTunes, comes as a result of a $1 million TED Prize awarded to StoryCorps founder Dave Isay. (StoryCorps CEO Robin Sparkman is the former editor in chief of The American Lawyer.) The prize is handed out each year to someone with a creative idea, giving him or her an opportunity to conceive and launch a high-impact project without restriction.
