DLA Piper’s Turkish office has demerged from the firm to reestablish itself as an independent practice.

DLA Piper entered the Turkish market in 2010 through a merger with 100-lawyer Yüksel Karkın Küçük, Turkey’s largest law firm. But the two decided to separate on Nov. 1 after concluding that their “respective ambitions and strategies can be better delivered separately,” a DLA Piper spokesman confirmed to The Am Law Daily.
