Ex-leaders of defunct firm Dewey & LeBoeuf were back in court Monday arguing to dismiss the indictment against them and, in the alternative, to allow the defense to examine the grand jury minutes.

Elkan Abramowitz, who represents former Dewey chair Steven Davis, told the court he had never been involved in a case “where the fundamental premise … [was] so obviously flawed” and based on a “flagrant misunderstanding of the law.”
