Locke Lord of Dallas has signed a letter of intent to merge with Edwards Wildman Palmer in a deal that would create Locke Lord Edwards, a 1,113-lawyer firm with offices in 23 cities.
The deal should close in mid-January 2015 pending votes of partners in both firms, said Jerry Clements, a Locke Lord partner in Austin who chairs the firm.
