Former White House lawyer J. Michael Farren will be sentenced Thursday, Sept. 11, in Stamford Superior Court for the near-fatal beating of his ex-wife, Mary Margaret.

Farren was convicted in absentia in July of the attempted murder of his wife. After the verdict, Farren turned himself in and was being held on $1 million bond. According to published reports, he has been free since a relative posted his bond in late July.
