Plaintiff awarded $6,541 for alleged back, neck and shoulder injuries

On June 16, a jury awarded $6,541 to a woman who claimed back, neck and shoulder injuries in a collision. Jamie Gibbons was a passenger in a tractor-trailer heading west on the Interstate 40 access road in Amarillo when the tractor-trailer was involved in a collision with a Toyota Camry driven by Timothy Eyer. She claimed that Eyer was driving behind the tractor-trailer in the left westbound lane when the driver of the tractor-trailer began to make a signaled right turn into a parking lot. Plaintiff’s counsel maintained at that point Eyer attempted to pass the tractor-trailer on the right without keeping a proper lookout and collided with the cab. She claimed cervical, thoracic and shoulder strains.
