While many legal conferences offer continuing legal education opportunities, the requirements that attorneys regularly update their skills mean there’s an entire subsector of legal event planning dedicated to education. People involved in the planning of those conferences say the economy seems to be improving, but they still have to be careful to control costs.
The American Bar Association Environment Energy and Resources Section is holding its fall conference at the Trump National Doral Miami. Michelle Diffenderfer, of Lewis, Longman & Walker, is on the committee that planned the conference. She said she was initially surprised by the choice.
