It’s all sounds like monkey business, but a photographer and Wikipedia are up in arms over #selfies taken by a crested black macaque monkey in Indonesia in 2011, according to Susan Neuberger Weller of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo in this blog post on the Copyright & Trademark Matters blog.

If ever there was any doubt about just how close the DNA between homo sapiens and their furry counterparts is, the photographs are proof greater than any tissue sample. The photographer had been doing a shoot when the monkey grabbed the camera and took the shoot into his own hands, er, paws, and snapped some excellent photos of himself.
