Partnerships at major New Jersey firms made strides toward gender equality in 2014, according to a Law Journal survey of 20 bellwether firms, but the proportion of minority partners at those firms showed no change from last year’s numbers.

Meanwhile, the ranks of women attorneys in the positions of associate, counsel and of counsel declined this year in the firms surveyed, but the proportion of minorities who are nonpartners at those firms showed a modest increase in 2014 when compared to the previous year.
