Launched in 2011, the private company of 130 employees was spun off from Justin.tv Inc., a live-streaming video platform. The Wall Street Journal ranks Twitch fourth behind Netflix Inc., Google Inc. and Apple Inc. in peak U.S. Internet traffic.
