There’s a lot of age discrimination out there in the world of employment, but Christina Stoneburner of Fox Rothschild raises a new question: When is being an older employee actually more desirable for the workplace?
She uses a Fox Rothschild attorney as an example of a positive age stereotype. The centurion—Murray Shusterman, age 101—still comes to work every day and was recently profiled by Jeff Gammage in the Philadelphia Inquirer. “What? Retire? Sit in a rocking chair and wait to die?” he asked the Inquirer. “All my life I’ve been active.”
