Freeport LNG Development L.P. operates a liquefied natural gas receiving and regasification terminal in Freeport, Texas, for clients including Conoco Phillips, Mitsubishi Corp. and The Dow Chemical Co.
The company has responded to the shale gas boom by undertaking a multibillion-dollar expansion — it employs about 100 people but anticipates tripling its workforce within three years. The privately held company would not release revenue, but general counsel John Tobola said its earnings are set by contract, not daily oil prices.
