Amy Barasch, the former executive director of the New York state office for domestic violence prevention, will join Her Justice as executive director in September, the group announced. She will succeed founder Catherine Douglass, who is retiring after leading the organization for 22 years.
“Amy’s passion for social justice and her commitment to the women and children served by Her Justice could not be stronger,” board chairman Peter Pantaleo said in a news release, adding that she was the “clear first choice” for the role.
