What's being said

  • Vern Leeroy

California has too many law schools pumping out too many grads indeed.
    from Miter Saw Genie

  • Just Saying

McEntee thinks that UC-Irvine has done a good job of controlling tuition? Really? Has he seen what they are charging now for out of state students? -- $53,800 out of state, $47,300 in state.

  • Learned Foot

"How dare we care about silly things like employment data! It‘s not FAIR that California has too many law schools pumping out too many grads for their awful legal market to absorb! That shouldn‘t count against US, one of the diploma mills churning out doc review fodder!"

Dean Wu can pretend to shake things up all he wants, but reality remains: he‘s at the helm of just another sinking ship. Even Hastings‘ current USNews position is a fluke, and will adjust downward accordingly when prospective students get past the marketing nonsense. It is no longer sufficient to ignore employment data and game the rankings through GPA/LSAT medians.

Hastings is a trap school, and people are finally starting to notice. Good riddance.
