Barnes & Noble, the nation's largest bookstore chain, has turned to longtime outside counsel Cravath, Swaine & Moore to handle the spinoff of its struggling e-book unit Nook Media, while Arnold & Porter is advising Perseus Books Group on its proposed sale to the Hachette Book Group, which has retained Jones Day as the publishing giant ratchets up its fight with Amazon.
