Squire Patton Boggs officially went live this week, and more partners from legacy firm Patton Boggs were on the move, according to sibling publication The National Law Journal.

Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, which already hired a health care lobbying group from Patton Boggs last week, added to its list of new laterals by bringing on Patton Boggs telecommunications pracitce cohead JENNIFER RICHTER and senior public policy counsel GREGORY WALDEN in Washington, D.C. Also leaving the latter firm’s soon-to-be-shuttered Newark office is James Tyrrell Jr., a litigation partner who was once the firm’s highest-paid partner and is the lawyer responsible for bringing to the firm a controversial case against energy giant Chevron.
