Kevin Thornton has been elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the United States Maritime Law Association (MLA). Thornton chairs the Maritime Law Practice Group at Cooper Levenson in Atlantic City, and is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group as well. Riker Danzig Sponsors Newport 10,000

For the 10th year, Morristown’s Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti was the title sponsor of the Riker Danzig Newport 10,000, which took place on May 3 at Newport, a 600-acre community on the Jersey City waterfront. Newport is a client of the firm. More than 80 runners participated on the Riker Danzig team, joining another 1,300 runners, to benefit Jersey City Medical Center.
