Among the cases the firm handled during 2013 were AstraZeneca PLC v. Andrx Pharmaceuticals Inc., a closely watched case in which a trial court granted a motion by Winston & Strawn partner Jim Hurst to exclude AstraZeneca’s theory of damages for infringement of patents related to Prilosec. AstraZeneca had sought more than $140 million.
