In the current business climate, companies are leaning on in-house attorneys and outside firms to maximize value for the legal department dollar. The departments and firms named by the Association for Corporate Counsel on Wednesday as its 2014 ACC Value Champions have demonstrated the ability to strategically serve their clients and help them work more efficiently, often by coming up with creative solutions to legal and business challenges.

ACC, the global bar association for in-house counsel with more than 33,000 members worldwide, has chosen its Value Champions this year from a variety of industries, including technology, finance and auto manufacturing, and from a range of company and firm sizes. The winners were selected from 83 nominees by in-house counsel judges as part of the larger ACC Value Challenge, an initiative that provides resources and training for corporate counsel who are working to create better value and improve law department management.
