DLA Piper will not punish a London-based partner whose name surfaced in connection with a series of sexist emails sent and received by the chief executive of the U.K.'s top soccer league, a DLA client, The Am Law Daily has learned.

    "We have accepted Mr. West‘s assurances that these emails are not reflective of his beliefs and values" -- Good grief, what a pathetic statement. If the "beliefs and values" of these men are indeed contrary to what they wrote, they must be pitiable, craven messes of human beings, so utterly desperate to get a laugh out of crass pals that they‘ll say anything at all, no matter how hateful or tasteless. If it‘s true it doesn‘t really reflect any better on their judgment than owning up to having these beliefs and values would.
