A Lackawanna County trial judge has ruled that the county’s former solicitor can represent a construction company in its breach of contract suit against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport and its owner, the Bi-County Board of Commissioners of Lackawanna and Luzerne counties, despite the defense’s protests that he previously represented the county in the same litigation.

In Sordoni Construction Services v. Bi-County Board of Commissioners of Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties, Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas Judge Carmen D. Minora denied the defendants’ motion to disqualify former Lackawanna County solicitor John R. O’Brien and his firm, Oliver Price & Rhodes, from representing plaintiff Sordoni Construction Services.
