SAN FRANCISCO — An upstart recruiting firm accused of raiding LinkedIn profiles has hired Agility IP Law to run its defense.

Agility partners James Otteson and Brandon Baum entered appearances on Thursday for Robocog Inc. The company, doing business as HiringSolved, allegedly created thousands of fake LinkedIn accounts to scrape data from members’ profiles. The information was then used to bolster HiringSolved, which offers leads on prospective job candidates, according to the complaint in LinkedIn v. Robocog, 14-0068.
