SAN FRANCISCO — After nearly 20 years at Bingham McCutchen, James Snell is jumping to Perkins Coie, the firms confirmed Tuesday.

Snell, who joined Bingham McCutchen after graduating from UC-Hastings College of the Law in 1994 and cochaired the firm’s intellectual property group and privacy and security group, represents clients in patent litigation, Internet and privacy issues, computer crimes and trade secret matters. He joins Perkins Coie’s privacy and security practice on Monday.
