Those outside the Texas legal community will remember Ray Hutchison as the Dallas bond lawyer who married Kay Bailey Hutchison. She went on to become a respected U.S. senator and the Senate’s first female member from Texas.
Yet, for more than a half-century, Hutchison was better known inside Dallas as an attorney who got things done in the city. He died March 30 at the age of 81, according to a statement released by Bracewell & Giuliani, where he served as senior counsel in the firm’s Dallas office, along with his wife.
